One misstep and it would be a 30-storey plunge. Coupled with poor lighting and possibly strong winds, these are the conditions that the cable car rescuers have to brave.

On Thursday, the Singapore Civil Defence Force invited TNP to watch its Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team (DART) perform an hour-long operation at the Mount Faber cable car station. It involved seven DART personnel rescuing two "casualties" from a "stranded" cable car.
