Singapore Heart Foundation had its first ever Pet Walkathon last Sunday.
Five hundred people and 200 dogs attended the event and walked the 2km Buddy Walk around Bishan Park from 4.30pm to 7pm.
There was also a dog fashion parade with the theme “Best dressed with a touch of red”.
The event aims to raise awareness of cardiovascular disease and how simple acts like dog walking can reduce one’s risk of getting the disease.
Organiser’s have said that they aim to hold the event biennially.
