Bringing bones to life

It is as long as close to four SBS buses and as tall as a three-storey shopping mall. And it took a team of 10 working through the wee hours of the night to assemble about 200 replica dinosaur bones, part by part. They were assembling one of the world’s largest dinosaur exhibits and the largest ever in a local shopping mall. The Argentinosaurus exhibit is part of “Dinosaurize Me!”, a two-week exhibition at Plaza Singapura from now till June 14.
Mr Daniel Tan, 47, senior director of projects and exhibitions at the Singapore Science Centre, told The New Paper that setting up the exhibit was no mean feat. “From space limitations to the lack of equipment, the team faced many challenges along the way,” he said.
