Sentosa ups fear factor

It’s that time of the year when annual pilgrimages to Halloween scare fests around the island take place and restless costumed ghouls come out to play. Sentosa Spooktacular 2013, for one, has upped the horror factor by bringing the ghosts from five popular Thai horror flicks to life.

As part of the inaugural collaboration between Sentosa and renowned movie production studio GMM Tai Hub (GTH), thrill-seekers are promised hairraising immersive encounters at Fort Siloso with faithful wife Nak from this year’s box office hit Pee Mak, resentful chopped-up victim Dararai from Body (2007), spiteful starlet Chaba from Coming Soon (2008), angry child spirit Wichien from Dorm (2006) and vengeful ex-girlfriend Natre from Shutter (2004).

This reporter experienced it first-hand at last Friday’s media event and, unfortunately, escape wasn’t easy. At each of the five haunted trails based on the films, participants have to complete a short related activity or earn themselves extra cosy time with these spirits.

But which one spooked the most? You will have to experience it for yourself.

But in the mean time, here are some pictures for your blood-thirsty pleasure.
