SOME of them couldn’t sleep. Most found that their minds were elsewhere. Although all these students from Raffles Girls’ School (Secondary) (RGS) had exams on Thursday, their minds were focused on one thing: UK pop rock band Lawson.
About 200 RGS students ran from their Physics and English exams to catch the four member group in their school hall. Lawson – made up of Andy Brown, Ryan Fletcher, Joel Peat and Adam Pitts, – are in town for a promotional tour.
The visit by Lawson to RGS was a result of the girls winning an online competition organised by HOT FM 91.3 and Universal Music Singapore. Schools had to submit a photo collage online, and the school with the most likes on Facebook won the session with Lawson. RGS won with 1,311 “likes”.
