The stars of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 went to the Float@ Marina Bay to perform the big switch off for the Earth Hour Countdown.
In front of a huge crowd of cheering fans, Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Jamie Foxx – joined by a Spider-Man and a panda – appeared waving and slightly sweltering.
As the stars interacted with the fans, Garfield making the Spidey web-slinging gestures, the moment came to plunge Marina Bay into darkness.
But it seems not everyone got the memo.
While some structures around Marina Bay Sands joined the night, many buildings in the area were still lit up.
But the fans were impressed none-the- less and many were proud to show how earth-conscious they are.
Nicole Kwek, 19, said: “I always make full use of both sides of the paper at school.”
The student added: “Rather than throwing my old school notes away, I give them to anyone who needs it, be it my siblings or friends.”
Designer Marcia Mailoa, 29, said: “I make it a point to turn off the air conditioning during the day and only turn it on at 10pm when I go to bed”
Sadly the stars did not hang around for long, and after half an hour they were whisked away to continue publicising the new movie.
