Crossing the finish line

Running, especially long distances, in sweltering 32 degrees Celsius heat is truly challenging.

The 2013 National Inter-School Cross Country Championships took place yesterday at the Bedok Reservoir Park. Boys had to complete a 4.3km route around the reservoir, while the girls’ route is 3.6km.

Many of whom were not trained in long-distance running. They collapsed onto the ground immediately after passing the finish line.

Luckily for them, there were more than enough helpers and medics to get them back up onto their feet again.

Here are some pictures taken at the finish line.
