The stars of the army flick, Ah Boys To Men, braved the afternoon sun and an unexpected downpour on an open-top bus for the Thank You Parade.

It has been five weeks since Ah Boys To Men 2 crossed the $6.3 million mark at the box office, but fans still can’t get enough of them.

Yesterday, the stars of the army flick braved the afternoon sun and an unexpected downpour on an open-top bus for the Ah Boys To Men Thank You Parade.

“The purpose of this is to say ‘thank you’ to everyone. Without your support, we would not have been able to break records,” said director Jack Neo.

The movie on national service has turned the boys into bona fide stars overnight, and is the highest-grossing local movie of all time. To date, the two-part series has garnered almost $14 million since its premiere on Nov 8.

The group – Neo, actors Wang Weiliang, Tosh Zhang, Noah Yap, Ridhwan Azman, Maxi Lim, Charlie Goh and Aizuddin Nasser – began their tour at the Singapore Flyer, going through Bugis and Orchard before heading to the heartlands.

Were you around the area to show them your support?
